Chris Richardson, Co-founder of Terrestrial Tree, will be talking about how Terrestrial Tree uses talks and workshops regarding interstellar messaging to teach about interstellar messaging and get individuals thinking about their personal human narratives, while encouraging the participants to come together to co-create, design, and direct new interstellar messages into the cosmos. In our workshops we go over the history of interstellar messaging, the current state of the literature, and cover semiotics briefly.

Chris is a multidisciplinary space scientist and aspiring interplanetary public health professional currently focusing on the human factors of planetary settlements. Chris is currently researching decentralization's potential role in generating interstellar messages and governance. While passionately exploring how human narratives can be collectively told utilizing space and design.
