The Space Education Summit team is thrilled to announce that commercial astronaut Dr. George C. Nield will join us as part of the Astronaut Panel for our opening session on May 31, 2024! Dr. Nield’s career has taken him from the Air Force Academy to regulating commercial space at the FAA and founding a space startup. He flew on Blue Origin’s New Shepard rocket in 2022.
Ron Rosano to Join Opening Astronaut Panel
Space Education Summit co-host Ron Rosano is now scheduled to fly with Galactic 04 on October 5… and then join the Opening Astronaut Panel on November 10! Ron has been pursuing his passion of inspiring students about space travel for over 25 years, as an informal astronomy and spaceflight educator with several programs, including Galactic Unite and the Solar System Ambassadors.
Frank White Returns for Capstone Session
The Space Education Summit team is honored that Frank White will once again join us for the closing Capstone Session on November 10, 2023! Frank is founder of the Human Space Program and a true space philosopher, having authored numerous books on topics ranging from space exploration to climate change to artificial intelligence. His best-known work, The Overview Effect: Space Exploration and Human Evolution, is considered by many to be a seminal work in the field of space exploration.
Alyssa Carson Joins Capstone Session
The closing capstone session for the Space Education Summit on November 10, 2023 features Alyssa Carson! Alyssa is an American student with the goal of training to become an astronaut and to be selected for future human spaceflight to Mars. In 2019, Alyssa enrolled at Florida Institute of Technology to study astrobiology, and is now continuing her education with a PhD in space and planetary science at the University of Arkansas.
Sharon Hagle Joins Opening Astronaut Panel
The second astronaut joining us for the opening panel of the Space Education Summit on November 10, 2023 is Sharon Hagle, CEO and Founder of SpaceKids Global. Sharon completed her flight on Blue Origin's NS-20, launching on March 31, 2022 as a member of Crew 4. She will be returning to space with Blue Origin on a future flight.
Nicole Stott Joins Opening Astronaut Panel
The Space Education Summit team is thrilled to announce that Nicole Stott will join us as part of the Astronaut Panel for our opening session on November 10, 2023! Nicole is a veteran NASA Astronaut with two spaceflights and 104 days living and working in space as a crewmember on both the International Space Station and the Space Shuttle.

The third astronaut on the opening panel has been announced! Ron Garan will join us for the Space Education Summit at 8:00 AM PDT on April 21st. Ron Garan is a highly decorated NASA astronaut, fighter pilot, and active social entrepreneur.
Sara Sabry Joins Opening Astronaut Panel
The second astronaut on the opening panel has been announced! Sara Sabry is the first person born in Egypt, and first from Africa, to fly to space. Sara earned her bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with a minor in biology, chemistry, and pre-med at the American University in Cairo, going on to earn a master’s in biomedical engineering from the Politecnico di Milano. Fluent in Arabic, French, and English, Sara grew up in Cairo, and is founder of the non-profit Deep Space Initiative.
Sirisha Bandla Joins Opening Astronaut Panel
The Space Education Summit team is thrilled to announce that Sirisha Bandla will join us as part of the Opening Astronaut Panel on April 21! Sirisha Bandla is an Indian-American aeronautical engineer and the Vice President of Government Affairs and Research Operations for Virgin Galactic. Sirisha flew on the Virgin Galactic Unity 22 mission with Richard Branson, becoming the second India-born woman to go to space!
