Felix Gatfield Joins Closing Fireside Chat
The Space Education Summit team is thrilled to announce that Felix Gatfield will join us for the closing Capstone Session November 22, 2024! Felix, 16 year old host of the popular YouTube Channel Felix’s Space Time, will join Frank White, author of The Overview Effect, for an interactive community discussion. Felix introduces himself in his own words…
My name is Felix Gatfield; I am 16 years old and the host of an educational YouTube channel where I interview valued members of the space community and space industry.
Over the past few years, I’ve been honoured to talk to many amazing people. My first was when I was 12 years old, and it was an exclusive interview with Jared Isaacman and Hayley Arceneaux, astronauts from the Inspiration4 mission. After that interview with Jared, I kept in contact with him and the crew and conducted five interviews with them throughout their mission. When Jared announced the Polaris Program just over two and a half years ago, I was able to interview them while they prepared for their mission and then had the amazing opportunity of going to Florida over the summer to watch them launch into space.
I’ve also interviewed the likes of Nicole Stott, retired NASA astronaut; Tory Bruno, CEO of ULA, Peter Beck, CEO of Rocket Lab, Tim Dodd, the Everyday Astronaut plug, and many more!
We look forward to hearing Felix’s thoughts on how we might best prepare his peers for humanity’s future in space.
