The Overview Effect and Consciousness

Presenter: Frank White

In this session, Frank White will discuss how the Overview Effect is one of several changes in consciousness resulting from spaceflight. He will suggest that these shifts are the most important contribution of space exploration to humanity and the cosmos.

Frank White is a magna cum laude graduate of Harvard College, a member of Phi Beta Kappa, and a Rhodes Scholar. He earned an M.Phil. in Politics from Oxford University. The fourth edition of Frank’s best-known book, The Overview Effect: Space Exploration and Human Evolution, was published by Multiverse Publishing in 2021.
