Young Professionals Panel

This session is a moderated panel discussion meant to help students learn about transitioning from a student to a young professional in the aerospace industry.

Sophia Jones is in her last quarter at Stanford University where she will earn her B.S. in Physics (Astrophysics concentration) and M.A. in Public Policy (Science and Tech. Concentration). She is passionate about Space Policy and Business. After graduating, she will continue on to SpaceX to do international policy in her role as Starlink Market Access Lead.

Owen Marr is an Aerospace Systems Engineer at Blue Origin. Owen works on New Shepard, a reusable human spaceflight vehicle which has flown 31 people to space since its first human flight in July 2021. Prior to joining Blue, Owen was a student at the University of Michigan where he completed his BSE in 2020 and MEng in 2021. During his time at Michigan, Owen ran SEDS@UM and SEDScast. Today Owen serves as Chair of the SEDS Young Professional Advisor Board and as an ambassador for Blue Origin University Relations.

Rohith Muhundan is Executive Director at the Humans2Venus Foundation, a US-domiciled 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting Venus as a potential long-term destination for humanity. Foundation programs support Venus-focused exploration, science, and education initiatives.
