Dr. Annahita Nezami, a Chartered Psychologist, is committed to studying and utilising salutogenic experiences in her work with Overview Effect Therapy and EarthscapeVR, aiming to make a meaningful impact in mental health and psychology on Earth and away from it. Her expertise spans human factors, eco-psychology, digital therapy, and neuroscience, with a focus on stress, trauma, performance, and altered states of consciousness.

As an advisor to multiple organisations and a Fellow of the RSA, Annahita delivers lectures on mental health, the Overview Effect, and transcendence. Her research, which involved interviews with NASA astronauts during her doctoral studies, unveiled therapeutic parallels between the Overview Effect and transcendental experiences induced by meditation, psychedelics, or extraordinary natural environments.

Co-founder of EarthscapeVR, Annahita creates immersive VR/XR experiences inspired by the Overview Effect. These immersive experiences, designed for workshops, therapy or standalone use, explore alternative wellbeing and mental health solutions for individuals, groups, and organisations.

Now leading the integration of VR/XR technology into Leadership and Ecotherapy programmes, Annahita aims to empirically explore the potential psychological benefits for terrestrial and extraterrestrial settings.
